For this collection of samples we started off with a set of abstracted sounds (see Abstro Sounds) edited from a previous sound experiment. These were then loaded into a sampler and mapped across a keyboard. By tweaking the envelopes and using them to trigger pitch, effect and filter changes we created a whole set of tempoed FX patterns (see FX pads in 90 BPM). We used very gated versions of these sounds to mix in with the beats to create the BeatFX.
For the Guitar samples we amped up a Fender Telecaster going through an old chorus pedal with it's rate turned up for that chimey, brittle wibbly sound. As well as making chord and note multisamples with it we also played chords through a wah-wah pedal at 90 BPM.
The six Multisample folders contain sounds we found worked well with the beats, FX and Guitar. They were made by butchering sounds we thought 'needed work' on one of our synths/samplers.
